Why Me

I've spent 20+ years mastering the art of bringing people together. I ran a subscription line of business for nearly a decade (hello, recurring revenue expertise), then spent the last 5 years specializing in community building - from launching the travel industry's first mentorship platform during COVID to growing an alumni community that exceeded every KPI in year one.

I combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Market research. Vendor selection. Platform launches. Retention campaigns. Analytics. I handle it all - from your first "should we even do this?" conversation to your thriving, engaged community months later.

Phase 1: Creating Your Community Blueprint

Part A - The "Why" Discovery

Let's get curious about what you really need. I'll survey your team and conduct interviews to understand: Why community? What value can you offer? What's your commitment level? Budget? Goals? Is this in-person, online, or hybrid? Free? Paid?

 

Steps: Internal surveys, stakeholder interviews, competitive landscape review

Part B - The Reality Check

Now let's talk to your actual customers. Do your assumptions match what they want? What would make them join, stay engaged, and maybe even pay to participate? Education? Mentoring? Networking? Let's find out.

Phase 2: Finding Your Perfect Solution

Based on what we learned in Phase 1, I'll help you determine the right approach for your community. This might be a full online platform, or it could be as simple as in-person events with a WhatsApp group to coordinate. I'll do the vendor homework if a platform is needed, balancing starting lean (MVP) with the ability to scale as you grow.

Steps: Vendor due diligence (if needed), platform evaluation against your needs and budget, or simpler solution design
 

Big Reveal: Comparison of options with my recommended approach - whether that's a platform, simple tech tools, or hybrid solution

Phase 3: Building Your Community Home

Time to create your welcoming space. I'll handle the technical setup and content seeding (you provide the content), create your content calendar, and develop your acquisition and retention marketing plan. We'll invite beta testers for feedback (online) or create a founder's gathering (in person) before the big reveal and decide together how to welcome your first members.

Phase 4: Growth & Stickiness

We'll launch with a solid plan but stay flexible. My mantras: "Test, don't guess" and "Fail fast." Sometimes your slam dunks fall flat and unexpected things take off - that's why we stay humble, watch the metrics, and pivot quickly.
